1. Thank God She Lives Alone, But…

    Her mind changes rapidly
    like emerald to yellow
and often twice the speed to red
but nothing’s ever to be said.

    Her expressions keep indoors
    like domestic birds in cages
    never realized by those outside
    like factory worker wages.

    Her fashion alters slightly
    and it’s style over trend
a hundred outfits in her closet
but she lacks a real friend.

    Her journal’s full of lies
but she covers them with truth
soon enough when she looks back
    she won’t understand her youth.

  2. AMYGDALA

    EMOTIONS THREATEN

    US (fight-or-flight reactions)

    IRRATIONALLY.

  3. Night Vision

    At
(it was the pair of heavy
    eyelids who stayed upĀ
    all night
and brought you the mailbag, so you could read
    handwritten letters scribbled
byway of a stranger’s pencil. What you stole
    will never be yours)
    last, I found you
    out.
